On June 27th 2017, the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba and El Salvador in collaboration with the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS) hosted Latin Nights.
Ambassador Ana Pisano delivered opening remarks on behalf of all participating Embassies and highlighted the strength of bilateral relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Latin America, as well as the need for growing cooperation.
During the launch, the documentary "Feeling Piazzolla" was screened making Trinidad and Tobago its World Premiere. Members of the Diplomatic Corp, Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, guests from the film industry, academics, and members of the public attended.
The event also featured Latin American food, beverages, dances. There was also an exhibition of art on display from the participating Latin countries.
